 Meeting Minutes from the April 16 meeting

Members attending:  Debra Dorn, Mary Bobier, Cheryl Lawrence, Michelle Shahar, Kim Schrager, Jeff Schrager, Ted Marcoccia, Debra Marcoccia, Ken Cox, Angel Moore

Support Staff: Dr. Rinah Shopnick, Barbara Lambert, Myra Davis-Alston

The meeting was called to order at 6 pm by Myra.  Dinner was served provided by Aventis Behring coordinated by Cheryl Lawrence

Each member introduced themselves and their connection with the HTCN

OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

After discussing the 16 points of interest, members agreed to choose four categories which to concentrate on achieving in the next four months.

Child Care Subcommittee - Jeff and Kim Schrager, Mary Bobier, Michelle Shahar

Patient Assistance Program Subcommittee - Michelle Shahar, Debbie Dorn, Ted and Deborah Marcoccia

Press/Local Media

All committee members will research the local smaller papers in their area, as well as any publications that may be interested in allowing us to advertise our services and intentions

Education

All committee members will contact doctors, nurses, etc. about our group.  Brochures and handouts will assist in conveying our intentions and goals to help people with bleeding disorders.  Other educational venues: health fair, Barbara Greenspun Learning Center, community programs

LONG TERM GOALS

Two long term goals which were deemed important:  Lobbyint - Mary Bobier and Larger facility - Ken Cox

SURVEY

All committee members will submit ideas for the following categories:

    1.  Mission statement

    2.  Group Name

The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm
