Herma Wells Unit Assistant - University Medical Center Herma began working at The University Medical Center as a volunteer. She was so well liked that she was asked to become a full time employee. She has worked in the outpatient hematology/oncology department for so long that she has become a source of reference for most everything in the department. Herma is originally from Germany and speaks German fluently. She is often called upon to help interpret for visitors from Europe who require medical care. She recently was honored with employee of the month for her assistance to travelers even on her days off. Herma is responsible for maintaining all the data for the Coumadin Clinic. She also helps with scheduling testing and appointments. In her spare time, she makes beautiful stained glass windows and is a gourmet chef. |
